Bran is basically stuck in the past and isn’t a person anymore. Brienne gets left by Jaime after taking her virginity ( at least he’s on his way to kill Cersei) Dany loses Rhaegal, Missandei and Varys (he’s leaning to make Jon king) and possibly Tyrion. Grey Worm watches Missandei get beheaded.
Spoilers. The most infuriating thing about seasons 6-8 is the sheer amount of plot armour and deus ex machinas forced into the scenes to avoid the corners that the writers wrote the characters into. Characters who make stupid decisions escape the consequences of their actions, which completely contradicts one of the highlights of the series.
A detail in Season 8. Season 8 episode 4, no spoilers. When Sansa is talking to The Hound, he says he remembers when she could barely look at him. Sansa says “that was a long time ago, I’ve seen much worse than you since then.”. She looks down and to the right briefly, a common sign that someone is lying. Sort by: Add a Comment.
the final season of GoT is utterly insane to me because it was so shitty that, not only did it wipe all discourse about the show out almost entirely, but whenever you bring up GoT the topic of how utterly dogshit the last season was is typically the first thing that comes to mind it takes talent to be this dookie
Tyrion is a Targaryen, his biological father was the Mad King who raped Tywins wife. It’s why he is drawn to Viserion, the smallest of the dragons. His deformities are from years of Targaryen incest. Bran tells him this as casually as the weather. Euron Greyjoy is more book accurate, leads a fleet to attack Mereen.
Well, Nathan Stark really doesn't want to leave his hometown, but he can't help but come to the aid if his good friend, the king. This will force his wife and children to run things at home on their own. Meanwhile, the heirs to the former line of kings will enter, through marriage, into an alliance with a powerful but seemingly primitive people.
Yes, just to see the ending. The writing is significantly weaker compared to the previous six seasons, but everything else is excellent. Season 7 is not terrible, has good moments, but Season 8 is pretty bad, especially episode 3 and beyond. The series finale is the biggest disappointment of the entire show.
I wouldn't watch it again. For me, it wasn't the actual ending that was bad. It was the rushed pacing in season 8 and how they got to the events of the ending. It's like they missed a few episodes or something. Certain character traits just didn't align.
